The Russian Investigative Committee said the shooting occurred in a school located in Izhevsk, which is a city that lies approximately 960 km (600 miles) east of Moscow in the Udmurtia region. The wounded included seven adults and 14 children, the Committee stated.
The Governor of Udmurtia, Alexander Brechalov, declared in a video that the unidentified gunman was able to kill himself.
The school is a place for children to learn between grades 1st and 11th. The school has been closed and the surrounding area is now secured, as the governor announced.
As per the investigative committee, the shooter was wearing the black t-shirt that had “Nazi symbols.” No other information about the motives of the shooter were released.
Izhevsk is a city with a population of 640,000, lies just west in the Ural mountains in central Russia.
