President Joe Biden is protected by semiautomatic weapons, yet he told journalists on Thanksgiving morning that he does not understand why semiautomatic firearms continue to be sold since they are of “no social redeeming value.”
Biden declared, “The idea we still allow semiautomatic weapons to be purchased is sick. It has no social redeeming value.”
Ironically, Biden is protected by semiautomatic handguns. The U.S. Secret Service recently transitioned from Glock handguns to Sig Sauer pistols, and both Glock and Sig Sauer are semiautomatic guns.
(Can you imagine a world in which Secret Service agents are standing on the streets bearing revolvers with six shots in their holsters?)
After criticizing semiautomatics, Biden made a new pledge on Thanksgiving to prohibit “assault weapons.”
Again, it is ironic that Biden is secured from attack by “assault weapons.” Biden was granted the Secret Service detail during the 2020 presidential election, and since then, agents have been beside him all the time to ensure his safety. Such a detail signifies that Biden is protected by semiautomatic guns and rifles, maybe ARs and/or Sig Sauer MCX platform firearms. It is possible that Biden also has fully automatic firearms as part of the plan. The second type of firearm includes submachine guns such as the H&K MP5. (An MP5 is a real “assault weapon.”)
Biden's security agents use semiautomatic guns to defend him from harm. However, Biden denounces such weapons being available for sale to ordinary citizens, who must protect their lives every day. The most important phrase is “no social redeeming value.”
