President Joe Biden declared on Sunday's CBS show “60 Minutes” that he hasn't decided whether he will run for president in 2024.
Anchor Scott Pelley said, “Sir, are you committed to running again, or are there certain conditions that have to be right?”
Biden declared, “Look, if I were to tell you that I'm running again suddenly, all sorts of factors come into play and require me to change my course and move.
Pelley claimed, “In terms of election laws?”
Biden stated, “In terms of election laws. It's way too early to make this sort of decision. I'm a devoted defender of the fate of my life. What I'm doing is my job. I'm going to do my job. In the time frame that is reasonable after the next election here, and going into the coming year, I will make a decision on what I will do.”
Pelley said, “You say that it's far too early to make this decision. I'm assuming that the decision was not taken by you in your own mind.”
Biden stated, “Look, my intention to do this, as I've said at the beginning is to be running again. It's just an idea. However, is it a definitive decision to run for a second time? It remains to be seen.”
