Casey Desantis Calls Classroom Teaching of Gender Identity a Problem

“As a mama of three little ones, thank you Dad for empowering parents, like me, and protecting Florida's children, like ours,” she added.

“Classroom instruction about sexual orientation and gender identity with kindergartners is wrong – especially without a parent's knowledge nor consent,” the state’s first lady stated.

“Today, I signed HB 1557, the Parental Rights in Education Act, into law,” the governor announced on Monday. He also released an image that shows him signing the bill into law.

“The bill ensures that parents of young children can send their kids to kindergarten without gender ideology being injected into classroom instruction and that parents will be notified about and have the right to decline healthcare services offered at schools for their kids,” the official added.

For the past few weeks, left-wing radicals have repeatedly lied and have misconstrued the landmark law and referred to it as”the “Don't Say Gay” bill, despite the fact that it doesn't ban expressions or words and doesn't single out any particular orientation, as their misleading catchy slogan implies. The bill does not even have any word that translates to “gay.”

“Here's what I can tell you. In the state of Florida, we are not going to allow them to inject transgenderism into kindergarten,” DeSantis stated in an interview with reporters this month. He reaffirmed his position after the repeated deceit of the left.

“First graders shouldn't have Woke gender ideology imposed in their curriculums, and that is what we're standing for,” he said. “We're standing for the kids and we're standing for the parents.”

However, Democrats have continued to promote lies, trying to deceive the public declaring the legislation “homophobic” while pushing to allow discussions that are inappropriate for children about gender identity and sexual orientation for young kids.
