Former Senior Biden Assistant Has Close Links to Business with Connections to Both the CCP and Hunter Biden

Reports suggest that a former senior Biden assistant was employed at the Obama White House prior to joining a Chinese Communist Party (CCP)-tied business connected with Hunter Biden. The individual, according to a report by Fox News Digital, served during the Obama-Biden administration from 2009 to 2014 and was also close to members of the Biden family, traveling with Biden on 49 out of 50 trips during his tenure.

Then-Vice President Joe Biden called him his “go to” guy, and now-First Lady Jill Biden called him “like a son to me” and stated that he was going to “always be a part of our family,” according to an article in Politico, which noted that the person quit his position in the White House in 2014.

After leaving the White House in 2014, this individual was employed for over six months in the “special advisory role” at his old school, the University of South Carolina, before becoming a part of a company in 2015 called Harves Group, run by an individual named Bo Zhang, whose parents own Harves Group and whose father-in-law is a high-ranking Chinese official.

Prior to when this individual left his position at the White House, his sister, Anne Marie Muldoon, worked for Hunter Biden's business Rosemont Seneca, joining Biden's team in May 2014, according to the report.

After the person quit to join Harves Group, he would visit the White House at least seven times, including meetings and interacting with his sibling at least four times and Biden's former chief of staff, Steve Ricchetti, at least once. Ricchetti is currently working at Biden's White House as a counselor. This individual also invited Zhang to the White House for a holiday reception in 2015. Also in 2015, this person introduced Zhang to Hunter Biden, whose firm Rosemont Seneca would later invest in several Harves affiliates.

In an email published on Fox Business, the said person, on July 28, 2015, emailed Hunter Biden, inviting him and his family to go to China, all paid for by Zhang.

The person praised Zhang's family, writing, “They are a great family with great respect and relationships in China.” He also told Hunter Biden that Zhang's parents were the owners of Harves Century Group of Shenyang and also that they were extremely secretive in their lives and “wouldn't tell anyone about you coming.” The individual also said that Zhang's father-in-law “is actually the Governor of Hainan (Chinese Hawaii)” Liu Cigui. Liu is believed to be a “loyalist” of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Fox Business stated. “It would be an opportunity for you to see the scope of what Harves does–its [sic] amazing,” the person wrote Hunter Biden.

The person further wrote, “I'd like for you to get to know Bo. He's a brilliant guy–he's been groomed to take over his family's dynasty, but he's very humble… He and his wife live in DC and are expecting a child. He is building a huge house in McLean and plans on working and living in the US.” The person further stated that it's the result of an “extended invitation.” He concluded, “We can do this anytime.”

There is no proof that Hunter Biden took part in the trip, but numerous emails examined by Fox Business showed that this person and Zhang had had meetings with Hunter as well as his business partner, Eric Schwerin, in Washington, D.C. on numerous occasions, as per the report.

A year later, following the time this person requested Hunter Biden’s company on the trip, Biden wrote to a man known as Henry Zhao on May 6, 2016, telling him that Zhang had been “a good friend and business colleague.” Biden suggested a meet-up in Beijing for Zhao and Zhang as well as the “chairwoman” of Harves Century Group, Zhang's mother. It is believed that Zhao was associated with Harvest Fund Management, which worked along with Hunter Biden to create Bohai Harvest RST.

A year passed, and in an email sent on March 15, 2017, Biden's business partner, Eric Schwerin, provided Hunter with an overview of the equity Rosemont Seneca Advisors owned in Harves Group. The email stated: “Rosemont Seneca Advisors (Owasco, LLC holds 75% of the shares) has equity ownership in Harves Group: 5 percent for Harves Amusement Parks, initially six Parks to be established in China as part of a JV agreement with China Development Bank and Parques Reunidos, which is one of the biggest amusement park operators worldwide. Additionally, it owns Harves Sports and Entertainment, which has signed an LOI to collaborate together with Kobe Bryant on a series of academies located in China.”

In the email, you can also find James Bulger, the nephew of Boston crime lord Whitey Bulger. James Bulger reportedly played an important part in Hunter Biden's Chinese business ventures, such as aiding in getting Biden a Chinese company license to run his uncle's telemedicine business.

Harves Group is supported by the Chinese government-owned China Development Bank and is the parent company for several U.S.-based Harves affiliates, including Harves Investment Group (HIG), Harves Sports, and Harves Global Entertainment, as per the document. Said person is currently the chief executive officer of Harves Global Entertainment and also co-founder and CEO of DreamCube Innovations, a company that has signed agreements with the NBA (National Basketball Association) and Harves Global Innovations, the Manchester United soccer club that has been established “across China.”

The individual told Fox News Digital on Thursday evening, in response to its investigation, that the White House visits “were personal in nature, visiting with old colleagues and friends whom I served with during my six years working there, and completely unrelated to my work with Harves Entertainment, which was creating experiences and attraction with iconic brands across the sports and entertainment industry.”

The person was not able to say whether Zhang ever had contact with the Obama-Biden Administration officials outside the White House to discuss Harves-related business agreements or if Hunter Biden ever introduced Zhang to Biden.

A White House official deflected in an email on Fox News Digital in regards to the person's trips to the White House. “These are all meetings that have been public for years because both the Obama-Biden Administration and this [administration] released visitor records for the sake of transparency–a practice discontinued during the Trump years.”

Fox News Digital also reported that Hunter Biden worked behind the scenes to create email messages to help raise funds for the unsuccessful congressional campaign of this person in 2016, who received $2,700 in donations from Schwerin and Biden and a $1,000 donation from then-Second Lady Jill Biden. Zhang, along with his wife, Jinglan Zhao, also each contributed on behalf of the campaign by making two contributions of $2,700, as per the report.
