Herschel Walker Fights Two Scandals

Walker spoke to Fox News' Sean Hannity Monday night when asked who the unnamed woman was “I have no idea, but it is a flat-out lie.”

The Daily Beast reported earlier in the evening that Walker, who is passionately and vocally pro-life, has urged women to abort the unborn child in 2009. According to the publication:

“A woman who requested not to be named because of concerns about privacy told The Daily Beast that, following the time she and Walker got pregnant in 2009, he advised her to have an abortion. The woman claimed she underwent an abortion and Walker offered to pay for the procedure.”

She confirmed these claims by providing receipts for $575 at the clinic for abortion as well as the “get well” card from Walker and the bank deposit receipt which contained an image of a personally signed $700 payment from Walker.

Walker said to Hannity, “I can tell you right nowthat I have never requested anyone to have an abortion. I've never had to pay for an abortion. In fact, this is a lie. … It's harmed my children. They've endangered my family. They believe they could threaten me. They believe they could intimidate me. At the moment, all I've done is it's motivated me to be more.”

The man also issued a statement that stated he was planning to take legal action against The Daily Beast for defamation.

To make matters worse for Walker, the Georgia GOP's outspoken child Christian, 23, has slammed his father in a series of posts on social media after the allegations about abortion was made public.

“Every family member of Herschel Walker asked him not to run for office, because we all knew (some of) his past,” Christian wrote and accused the father of giving the families “the middle finger” and telling the truth to the public.

Christian claimed that his father had abandoned the family when he pursued a life of violence and debauchery.

“You're not a ‘family man' when you left us to bang a bunch of women, threatened to kill us, and had us move over 6 times in 6 months running from your violence,” Christian wrote.

Walker addressed his son's accusations with a short statement, in which he wrote, “I LOVE my son no matter what.”

The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) is the arm of campaigning for Senate Republicans standing in solidarity with Walker in the current tumultuous swath of information.

“Democrats and the media have tried to stir up nonsense about what has or hasn't happened in Herschel Walker's past because they want to distract from what is happening in the present,” NRSC spokesperson Chris Hartline stated in an announcement issued Monday evening. Hartline also noted that the incumbent senator, Raphael Warnock (D-GA), is also responsible for “skyrocketing inflation, a raging border crisis, and crime in Georgia communities.”
