Harris, along with her husband, Douglas Emhoff, are scheduled to attend the Democratic event on Monday night in Los Angeles, according to various reports. Deadline stated that Walt Disney Television head Dana Walden will host the event with her husband, Matt Walden.
The proceeds from the event will be donated directly to the Democratic Grassroots Victory Fund, and the money will be distributed to members of the Democratic National Committee and state committees of the party, Deadline reported.
The vice president’s trip to Los Angeles comes as her popularity continues to decline, even in her native state California.
According to Breitbart News, only 35 percent of the California people approve of Harris's vice-presidency, while 45 percent are not happy, according to the Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies poll that was released earlier in the month. This is a decrease from the previous Berkeley poll conducted two months ago, which showed 38 percent approval for Harris's vice-presidential performance.
Nationally, Harris remains deeply unpopular for all types of voters. Only 36 percent of respondents were satisfied with how she's managed her position within her first year, with 43 percent not liking her, in the latest poll by Redfield & Wilton Strategies.
Recent Rasmussen Reports survey showed even more disapproval and 56 percent said that they considered the vice president to be unfavorable.
In her position as vice-president, Harris has never visited the U.S.-Mexico border despite being assigned, and relies on officials at the White House to handle the border crisis.
The Biden and Harris Administration reported over 750,000 border crossings and illegal immigrants — a population bigger than that from Boston, Massachusetts — into the U.S. since taking office this year, Breitbart News reported.
