ABC 7 / Chicago Sun-Times said one victim was a teenager who was killed when a person got out of a car “near South Fairfield and South Washtenaw avenues” and then opened fire.
FOX 32 noted a 13-year-old girl was shot during the same incident. However, the girl was in good health.
Breitbart News reported that four people died on Monday in Chicago, including a 66-year old clerk at a convenience store who was killed in an attempted robbery on Monday night.
CWB Chicago notes, “The robber went into J&K Food and Liquors, 6320 North Western about 9:00 p.m. He demanded cash. The robber then shot the 66-year-old male worker in his chest. However, the cashier was carrying an assault weapon of his own and fired back.”
The shootings on Monday came on after a weekend in which 36 were killed in Chicago At least five of them killed.
The Sun-Times observed that 557 people were killed in Chicago the first day of January, 2022 until October 22, 2022.
