In a speech about the possibility of Joe Biden potentially entering an overhauled Iran nuclear agreement, Haley told the crowd, “and if this president agrees to any agreement, I'll offer you an agreement. The next president will rip it up on the first day in her new office.”
Even though Haley did not officially announce the presidential race, Haley's use of the feminine pronoun led to speculation by many political experts that she was speaking of being the next President.
The former Trump White House aide Steven Cheung claimed that Haley's remarks appeared to be “Hillary Clinton levels of cringe.”
John Cardillo called Haley “politically delusional” following the tweet that her Twitter account shared the speech she gave.
After her comments, social media users swiftly called up the former president Donald Trump, who many anticipate will launch a campaign to be a candidate for his position in the White House in 2024.
Human Events' Jack Posobiec jokes, “Wait, Trump is identifying as a woman for the 2024 race?”
The majority of the feedback on Haley's tweet was negative including Twitter users calling Haley a”neocon” and ”warmonger.”
“You'll never be president. No one likes you, not even the small group of neocon “yes men ” are around you, as well as the useless National Review, which nobody has time to read,” Cassandra MacDonald tweeted.
In the speech, Haley spoke about the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, saying that America does have “a duty to support Ukraine.”
“If America hadn't failed so miserably in Afghanistan, there never would have been a war in Ukraine,” Haley declared.
Haley's remarks on Monday are the second time within a month Haley has hinted publicly about running for president in 2024.
In a recent interview in Iowa which is a popular location for presidential hopefuls Haley declared that she'd be running in 2024 If “there's a place” for her.
“What has always been my mantra is that I love my country. I've had the honor in serving my state which gave birth to me, and fighting for the nation I love so much,” Haley told a crowd of Iowans. “And should it appear that I'll be able to compete next year, I've never been a loser in any race. I'm not gonna start right now. I'll make it 1,000% and complete the task. If there's no room for me, then I'll fight for this country to my final breath.”
