A few days ago, police officers from San Francisco, California, responded to a 911 request that was made by Paul Pelosi. According to the police report, the incident occurred on the 28th of October. 42-year-old DePape assaulted Pelosi using a hammer, leading to severe trauma to his head. He then headed in for urgent surgery.
DePape was detained and charges of attempted murder are likely to be brought against him. DePape has been previously accused of assault and attempted kidnapping.
FOXLA's Bill Melugin reports that DePape is in fact an illegal alien who has been within the state of sanctuary California for a while after he had been granted a visa that was not renewed. It's unclear what type of visa DePape first arrived with to this part of the United States from Canada and when exactly.
The former partner of DePape revealed to local press that the person was “mentally ill,” believing that he had been Jesus Christ at one time and lived in the hippie community situated in Berkley, California.
Before moving to California around two decades ago, DePape was living in Powell River, British Columbia located in Canada.
With the support of Nancy Pelosi, California has one of the most stringent sanctuary policies of the United States — shielding illegal immigrants from deportation and arrest through officials of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency, and preventing local law enforcement agencies from cooperating with ICE.
DHS's most recent report indicates that 685,000 foreigners were granted visa extensions after arriving into the U.S. in Fiscal Year 2020, and became illegal aliens.
Between 11 and 22 million undocumented immigrants are on visas, but they eventually overstay their visas. A majority of them are never deported.
