You've likely seen the huge outrage in the media about “Nazis”, who were photographed in the front of Tampa convention center at which Turning Point USA was hosting its Student Action Summit. The event was so significant that “The View” attempted to compare the participants to Nazis. The show did this on every episode following threats of lawsuits filed by TPUSA.
One of the major issues was Ron DeSantis, the Florida Governor who didn't voice his opinion against the Nazis in at the center of the confab. According to reports in the press, it is a clear indication that he's in agreement with their policies. It naturally results in a lot of leftists concluding “DeSantis is working with Nazis.”
It's absurd for DeSantis to instantly denounce all those who are around him, no matter whether they're involved in the event. This, and the other issues I brought up, is the issue of a double standard…
New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio Cortez appears to not have the same regulations. AOC was asked by the media whether she would condemn the actions of Antifa declared who violence on the border.

Let's dig into the root of this. AOC was asked to swiftly denounce the attack carried out by Antifa on government officials near the border. It was evident to AOC who the perpetrator was and what his motives were. AOC simply had to state, “Yes, I condemn it.”
She did not. However, the media was unable to take action against her for this and nobody from the left has claimed that she was acquiescing to Antifa.
Although DeSantis didn't get directly questioned by the media, and was unaware about the Nazis existed at the event until later, he's required to condemn their existence or risk showing support to the Nazis.
This is unprofessional journalism on the left. It's absurd to expect anyone to criticize every single thing without any prompting. If this were the situation, DeSantis could be adamant about making statements and tweeting about good things that happened to him.
It is better to make the right decision and not engage in the game they have rigged.
It's not the first time the Florida Governor has been asked to respond for groups that he does not belong to. As per The Guardian, DeSantis was requested by the media earlier this year to condemn a group of neo-Nazis.
A group of protesters were dressed in Nazi symbols and shouted antisemitic slurs both on Saturday and Sunday on the North Alafaya Trail. Videos quickly spread across social media. They were accompanied by Nazi salutes as well as Trump-related banners. One even had a fight with a motorist.
Both Democrats as well as Republicans have expressed their displeasure at the protests. DeSantis didn't express his displeasure with the protesters until Monday's event for journalists, and later shifted the blame to his political foes.
“So what I'm going to say is these people, these Democrats who are trying to use this as some type of political issue to try to smear me as if I had something to do with that, we're not playing their game,” he said.
DeSantis was able to see through it back then and he can see through it now, and everybody else should become aware of the subversive attempts to come up with new ways to accuse and name-call Republicans.
