The Leaked Roe v. Wade SCOTUS Opinion Unleashes Leftist Extremism Aimed at Political Opponents

A rise in leftist extremism has swept the country after the leak of the U.S. Supreme Court opinion revealing that Roe v. Wade could be overturned in the near future, making abortions federally illegal—although it is likely that abortion will remain legal in many states dominated by Democrats, even if Roe v. Wade is thrown out.

Following the leak, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot (D) made use of rhetoric to promote the use of violence against those with opposing political opinions. Lightfoot has called the “LGBTQ+ community… to arms.”

The following list contains seven recent instances where left-wingers have targeted their opposition with extremist tactics:

    1. A suspect is arrested for the attempted murder of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

On Wednesday, an individual was arrested and charged with attempting to murder Justice Kavanaugh. The incident was barely mentioned. It was published in the upper right-hand corner of the New York Times, Washington Post, and Wall Street Journal‘s websites. On Tuesday, the Times kept the breaking news story under the “more news” section of its website, at the bottom of the page, right next to a piece about the employees at Trader Joe's wanting to join a union.

“Two people familiar with the investigation,” the Post wrote, “said the initial evidence suggests that the man was upset over the leak of an opinion issued by the Supreme Court signaling that the court is working on a decision to reverse Roe. v. Wade.”

After the story broke in March, a video was released showing Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) saying, “Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh will ‘pay the cost’ in the event that they overturn Roe. You won't know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions,” Schumer stated.

    1. A man attacks a woman during a GOP event.

This past Thursday, Arizona Senate candidate Blake Masters witnessed a man wearing a Black Lives Matter T-shirt allegedly strike a woman with a baton, hitting her in the jaw. Masters stood up for the elderly woman by knocking the man onto the floor. “I saw it, clear as day,” Masters declared after the incident. “He should not have done that!”

According to media reports, the man has been identified as Peter Jackson, 73, from Hawaii. An individual who shares the same name and age has been sentenced for sex offenses in Hawaii.

    1. A Washington, D.C., pregnancy care center was targeted.

On June 3, a prenatal center located in Washington, D.C., was damaged by red paint sprayed on the entrance of the facility. The vandals were said to have written “Jane Says Revenge” on the building. The D.C. pregnancy care center was the most recent in a string of attacks on care facilities across the country.

    1. A New York pregnancy care center was attacked.

A pregnancy center located in the state of New York was reported to have been attacked with anti-abortion art after the facility caught fire last week.

    1. A North Carolina pregnancy care center was attacked.

In North Carolina, a pregnancy health center was also targeted this week. The attackers employed “red spray paint and knocked out windows and door glass around the building,” WLOS ABC reported.

    1. Wisconsin's anti-abortion lobby was targeted.

In May, a Wisconsin Family Action facility, an organization that advocates against abortions, was burned by vandals who wrote on the structure: “If abortions aren't safe, then you aren't either.” The chief of the police force, Shon Barnes, said two unexploded Molotov cocktails were discovered in the building. “It appears a separate fire was started, police said, and graffiti was also found at the scene,” CNN reported.

    1. A Denver church was vandalized.

On May 4, a Catholic church located in Denver, Colorado, was vandalized “with smashed windows and spray-painted pro-abortion messages,” the Washington Times reported. The vandals apparently vandalized the church with extreme left slogans, such as “my body, my choice” and “keep your religion off our bodies.” They also broke windows in the church.
