A MMA legend and hard-hitting pro-American advocate was on with host Alex Marlow, on Friday's edition of SiriusXM's Breitbart News Daily, to discuss not just his experience in the role of an MMA fighter in the UFC Octagon, but also his enthusiasm and advocacy for American values in the world of politics.
“I'm not a right-winger,” Ortiz explained. “What I am is an American. I care about my children's futures, my children's friend's futures, and just the freedoms we have in this country. And people say, ‘Right-wing, left-wing. You're on the right, you're on the left.' No, I'm not. I'm strictly down the middle. I'm just a man who is fighting for his children, for their future, for school. We're moving from Huntington Beach, California, because of how great a job DeSantis is doing [in Florida] as governor, really protecting our children. I think that's very, very important.”
Ortiz later explained the way in which his successes in the local political arena in California provoked an outrage among liberals, which made him realize the reality of being effective in defending his views via social media.
When I began doing social media, I'm thinking it was around 2020. When I was running in the race for City Council here in Huntington Beach, I won the highest number of votes ever in Huntington Beach history. I was the Mayor Pro-Tem. However, the Democrats in the city sacked me. It was either that I stood and fought until I had nothing left, or left and fought from the shadows, even more.
It's a lot easier since CNN as well as the rest of the mainstream media have been attacking me each and every week, and putting my kids on the news as they aren't willing to be seen wearing a mask. It's true that my kids are now homeschooled over the past two years. I came to see what's going on with this administration. And, I kind of awakened from this horrible nightmare of all these savage policies. It's like the border being open, and I'm aware of that in the first place. I have a lot of acquaintances working on the border, they are border patrol officers, like Sheriff Mark Lamb in Arizona, and the processes they encounter is just insane and the children who are being sold off to the gangs is absurd. How the cartels deal with issues is insane. Our government has let this happen.
Ortiz later made a statement about, and criticized, the Biden Administration for letting America down.
“I I mean, that Biden regime and the things they're doing is horrifying. This isn't the kind of country we're talking about. The reason I say this is because I've traveled around the globe. I've visited other continents, different nations, and I've witnessed the way they run their countries and come back and have always been happy to return home to America with the thought ‘Oh man, how nice to be back at home.’ It's now that I'm back in my home country and I wish to remain in the same place I was when I lived in Switzerland or the other places I've been. It's terrifying.”
“But I've got to realize, I've got to sit down. I've got to dig my boots into the ground and fight for my children's future.”
Born in California, the UFC legend is a defender of principled American politicians, including Congressman Matt Gaetz (R, FL) and Congressman Jim Jordan (R, OH) while highlighting the importance of midterm elections to safeguard America's future.
“This midterm is super important and America needs to understand that. If we don't take over the House this midterm, I don't know. Do we lose our country? Because I don't think this country can survive another 2 1/2 years of the Biden regime.”
