Trump Calls NY AG Lawsuit a Witchhunt

Former President Donald Trump said Wednesday on FNC's “Hannity” that New York Attorney General Letitia James's civil suit was a “continuation of a witch hunt.”

Trump declared, “She campaigned on it in the past four years. It was a savage campaign. She was just talking about Trump and we're going to bring him to trial and are planning to take him down. She didn't know anything about me. I've never heard of her.”

He continued, “She said that we are going to take him. The whole campaign was based on this. Then she was following us. We've been talking about this for a long time. I was thinking that since our values are very high, our company was excellent. I have built a great business. It is possible to find such places in many other locations. I've been to this place honestly, and it is among the best places on earth. I thought they'd never have a case, but she did. The reason I believed it was that she didn't have any evidence. I had an impression she was looking to settle the case, but I ran into a dilemma because what happens when you have to pay for something even if it's a small amount of money and is not in any way guilty? This is a continuation of the witch-hunt that started when I went down the escalator at Trump Tower.”
